Duygu Iplikci Ergin

Duygu was born in 1966. After successfully completing the Business Management and Finance degree at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, she started her career at PwC in Istanbul. With a robust foundation at PwC in Turkey and valuable experience on IFC and World Bank projects, she transitioned to Chase Manhattan Bank, honing her expertise in banking. Following a comprehensive management training program in New York, her focus shifted to Treasury and Trading, achieving the position of treasurer at an early stage.

Relocating to London, she replicated successful business models from Istanbul to various emerging market countries. Her responsibilities encompassed country due diligence, business model development, and the strategic deployment of products for clients. Leading operations in Eastern Europe and the CIS region, she later assumed the role of head of Russian Local Markets business, overseeing debt, equity, derivatives, and capital markets.

Continuing her journey in banking, she transitioned into a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship. Currently engaged in angel investing, advisory roles, and serving as a Non-Executive Director (NED), she has embraced a multifaceted role in supporting and fostering entrepreneurial endeavors. Recently appointed as a principal mentor at the UCL Hatchery program, she is committed to guiding and nurturing the next generation of innovators and business leaders.
